5.12 Earthquake Memorial Music Ceremony

Place: Rose Theater at the University of Memphis
Admission: Love and Sympathy. Donation welcome.
Purpose:
This musical event is hosted to share our sorrow over the souls lost in the devastating May 12 Earthquake in China and show our sympathy and solidarity for the ones who survived, yet still suffering. Local Chinese singers and poets, adults and children will take the stage and use music and poems to express their feelings toward the people who are affected by the earthquake. May our music, voices, thoughts and prayers bring peace and hope to the suffering people ten thousands miles away. All donation will go toward the rebuilding efforts for the schools in the Sichuan region.
Additional activities:
1. All attendees are encouraged to sign the memorial fabric that will go with the donation to the Sichuan region to commemorate this event.
2. T-shirt designed to commemorate the earthquake will be sold at $10/pc.
3. Bumpersticker designed to commemorate the earthquake relief effort will be sold at $5/pc.
